To make Hush Puppies you’ll need cornmeal, flour, sugar, egg, milk, and spices. First mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, then add the egg, milk, red onion, and scllions.
Once your batter has been sitting at least 15 minutes, drop tablespoons of the batter into a pan of hot oil. As your hush puppies cook, they will begin to turn on their own. make sure you turn them so they brown on all sides evenly.
Once your hushpuppies have reached a golden brown color, remove them to a paper towl lined dish and enjoy
