How To make Chicken Ala King

To make Chicken Ala King, you’ll need some chicken breast, green bell pepper, sliced mushrooms, milk, butter, chicken broth, flour, pimientos, salt and pepper.

Chop up 2 large, cooked and seasoned chicken breasts. Then chop 1 lrge green bell pepper.

Add 2 sticks of butter to a hot pan, and saute the green bell peppers with 8 oz of sliced mushrooms.

Stir in the flour. Cook until all the white is gone. Add the chicken broth and then the milk, stirring constantly to thicken.

Add in the seasoned, cooked chicken and the pimientos. Taste for salt and peppr. The broth has plenty of salt and the chicken should have been seasoned already. Taste your food!!

Serve over rice, or egg noodles. I’m using kaiser rolls. Just cut a hole in them. Enjoy.

  • 4 cups Chicken Breast seasoned, cooked, and diced
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper diced
  • 8 oz Mushrooms sliced
  • 4 oz Pimientos
  • 2.5 cups Chicken Broth
  • 3 cups Milk
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a large pan, melt the butter
  • Add the diced green peppers and mushrooms. Cook until just softened
  • Stir in the flour. Cook until all the white is gone
  • Add the chicken broth and then the milk, stirring constantly to thicken
  • Add in the seasoned, cooked chicken and the pimientos
  • Taste for salt and peppr. The broth has plenty of salt and the chicken should have been seasoned already. Taste your food!!
