CrockPot Honey Garlic Chicken & Potatoes

This recipe for slow cooker honey garlic chicken thighs and potatoes is a dump and go recipe. You just place all the ingredients into your slow cooker, and you get an amazing meal in about 5 hours.

How to make honey garlic chicken and potatoes

Since this meal will be made in the slow cooker, make sure it is ready to go. Some people like to use crock pot liners, but I don’t feel it’s necessary. 

Place the chicken in the crock pot, followed by the onions, potatoes, oregano, salt, pepper (to taste). Then pour the olive oil over top and mix until all of the seasonings have been distributed. 

In a separate bowl, add the lemon juice, garlic, brown sugar, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, honey, and dijon mustard. Mix well with a wisk, then pour over the chicken and potatoes. Cover and cook for 4-6 hours. 

I like to serve crock pot honey garlic chicken thighs and potatoes with white rice. It is absolutely delicious!

Ingredients
  

  • 8 bone in skin on chicken thighs
  • 2 onions
  • 1 lb baby potatoes
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup honey
  • cup sweet chili sauce
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard

Instructions
 

  • Add the chicken, onions, potatoes, and oregano to the crock pot. Add salt and pepper to taste. Then pour in 2 tbsps of olive oil. Mix so that all of the ingredients are covered with the seasoning.
  • In a separate bowl, add the lemon juice, minced garlic, honey, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar and the dijon mustard. Mix well to combine all ingredients, then pour over the chicken and potatoes.
  • Place the lid on the crock pot and cook on high for 4-6hrs.
