What is a slider? The term “slider” is used for several things including a baseball runner, to a knob to adjust the radio volume. In terms of food, a slider is a small, hot sandwich , usually a hamburger, that is served on a small bun. Sliders are usually made with dinner rolls. The most popular dinner roll of choice is the King’s Hawaiian Dinner Roll.
How to make roast beef sliders
Today we are learning how to make barbecue beef sliders. You’ll need some dinner rolls, thin sliced roast beef, barbecue sauce, dijon mustard, butter, and worcestershire sauce.
Prepare the meat by pouring some barbecue sauce over it and mixing it together to coat every piece. I like to use Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce. Then add the meat to your slider rolls followed by the cheese. I like to do 2 layers each meat and cheese. Once assembled, pour the butter sauce over top.

- ½ cup barbecue sauce
- 12 Hawaiian dinner rolls
- 12 cheddar cheese slices use as much as you like
- ½ cup butter
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce

- Pre-heat the oven to 350°
- In a bowl, combine the roast beef and barbecue sauce. Mix well so as all of the meat gets coated in the sauce. Set aside.
- Separate the buns and slice them in half, so you get a top and bottom. Set the tops aside. Place the bottom halves into a roasting pan.
- Distribute the meat onto each bottom half of the buns, using up half of the meat. Then place half of the cheese on top of those. (It's helpful to cut each slice of cheese into 4th's beforehand). Repeat this step a 2nd time until the remainder of the meat and cheese is used, then put the tops of the buns on.
- In a small sauce pan, melt the butter, then add the mustard, worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Stir until all ingredients are combined.
- Pour the butter sauce onto the sliders then bake for 20 minutes.
